Carbon canister development and testing has
become a key element in vehicle designer’s efforts to meet ever
more demanding governmental emissions regulations. These units
function by trapping organic vapors from the fuel system (that
might otherwise escape into the environment) onto activated
carbon beds within the canister. The adsorbed vapors are then
caused to be released back into the intake air to participate in
the combustion process.While
straightforward in principle, the performance and testing of
these devices are affected by a number of physical-chemical
variables. SAKOR has been conducting studies and working with
leading experts in this field to better understand these
variables and how they affect device performance and test
results. Our engineers have experience working with a large
range of canister designs for a number of vehicle types. Take
advantage of SAKOR’s experience by selecting an ECS 3000 series
canister conditioning and test system.
